At Mookodi Music Foundation, we believe that music education is crucial to ensure the future sustainability of music in South Africa. While our directors have their roots in classical voice training, our grants are inclusive and for various genres of music. Our grants are available to individuals who are passionate about studying and/or performing within the scope of our foundation's mission. Scholarships, grants, instructional opportunities, development programmes and master classes are accessible for both high school and university students.
Furthermore, we embrace a reinvestment principle for grant recipients. We kindly request successful applicants to dedicate their time and talent to promoting music skills within their local communities, particularly at their local schools. We believe that this dissemination of knowledge and skills will foster a culture of musical excellence.
Applications can be submitted by music teachers or lecturers at high schools, universities, music conservatories or by individuals themselves. Each application will be reviewed thoroughly and grants will be awarded based on merit and the availability of funds. Candidates can contact the foundation by submitting a message on the website (see Contact us page) or by sending an email.
